Columbia’s Leading Antisemite

Columbia University Apartheid Divest, or CUAD, is responsible for the pro-Hamas “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” that led to hundreds of arrests on the Columbia campus and criticism of rampant antisemitism on a national scale.

CUAD’s latest letter demanding divestment from the university lists the groups that make up CUAD, including Student Workers of Columbia.

Sumant Ro is a trustee of the Student Workers of Columbia Executive Board.

That means Ro is part of a group that backs “‘armed resistance’ by Hamas,” according to the New York Times. It is also a group that withdrew an apology it made on behalf of a member who said that “Zionists don’t deserve to live.” CUAD even recently called for Hamas to “besiege” Israeli and American embassies.

CUAD supports terrorists, and as a co-signer, Student Workers of Columbia with the support of Sumant Ro, does as well.

Columbia University’s failure to confront antisemitism head-on has led to uncontrollable escalation. Now, the administration must hold these individuals accountable and apply standard policies to prevent this hatred from continuing to thrive on campus.
